About Me

I am a General Pediatrician in solo practice in Easthampton, Massachusetts. I began my solo practice in temporary quarters in Holyoke in August, 2000 and moved to my current location in December, 2000.

Prior to this, I was a pediatrician in group practices in Holyoke, and before that in Nashua, New Hampshire.

I have admitting privileges to the Cooley Dickinson Hospital. (Practice patients seeking admission to Baystate Medical Center and newborns from hospitals other than CDH are cared for by those facilities' staff pediatricians.)

The following areas of pediatrics are of special interest to me: asthma, breastfeeding and tic spectrum disorders.

My Mission

• To assist children, adolescents and their parents through both “well” and “sick” visits to achieve optimal outcomes, using current medical guidelines.
• To provide consistency in care and extended office hours to accommodate different families’ needs.

My Medical Credentials

• Current licensure – Massachusetts (since 1998)
• American Board of Pediatrics Fellowship examinations passed 1996
• Royal Australasian College of Physicians’ Fellowship Examinations in Pediatrics, written, passed 1993 (this is similar to, but more advanced than, the American board examinations)
• Medical degree – MB, ChB (New Zealand) awarded with Distinction in Pediatrics 1988

My Pediatric Postgraduate Education

• 1995-1996 – Pediatric fellow, Behavioral and Developmental Pediatrics, Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island, Pawtucket, RI
• 1994-1995 – Third-year pediatric resident, Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI

  The above are required of any foreign medical graduate to apply for American medical licensure.

• 1988-1994 – Rotations in New Zealand hospitals, starting as a general resident and advancing to pediatrics resident then fellow (General Acute Pediatrics, Newborn medicine, Oncology, Renal, Infectious Diseases, Rheumatic Fever, Child Psychiatry and Child Abuse and Pediatric Surgery)
